Prom makeup haul 2016!

Hi everyone! So on the 8th of July I had my year 11 prom and I swear it was amazing! At the time I didn't have enough time to show you all what makeup I got for the day so today I'll be showing you what makeup I bought!

All the makeup I had all together(some are not in the images)
6.Mac face primer(sample with the mac lipstick)

I think thats about it- here's me trying to take professional photos.....

To summarise some of the new products I got for prom....

Of course lets start off with the famous Mac ruby woo lipstick! It was my first time using this lipstick obviously and I think that it was so amazing on the night of prom as it lasted very long! I had to touch it up at least twice though because in between eating it rubbed off a bit.I used the Rimmel lip liner with it and it really helped it to stay on.

The Primark 'artis' oval brush was also really good! It was only £2.50 and I used it to put on my contour before blending it out.If you have a primark which stocks these-definitely try it out!

The highlighter and the Maybelline contour kit were also really amazing! I used the highlighter on my friend as I did her makeup at 10 in the morning and it was still going strong at 7 pm so its definitely worth a buy. I have just done a blogpost on my July favourites where I have talked about these.click here to read about it.

Finally the Mac face primer. To be honest I'm not sure how this helped me but I used it anyway because it came as a sample with the mac lipstick.I only applied a small amount, just in case it affects my makeup but it think it helped my foundation stay on quite well.

Overall, prom was amazing! for next prom season ill definitely try and do a makeup look for you all! also if you have prom next year or even in a few years time and you dont want to go-please re- consider because it really is a night where you get to see everybody (even if you dislike some people lol) and just have fun.

(Also I just wanted to explain why I hadn't posted since the met gala blogpost. I had a load of exams and just didn't have time to post some decent content(if you're from the UK you know how GCSES take over your life) but yes from now on I'll just be posting mostly about travel and lifestyle but I will definitely be writing about beauty too.)

Please share on twitter or anywhere and thanks for reading!!!

July favourites 2016!

Hi everyone! Its been a while since I've posted(I'll explain in next blogpost) but I'm back! Today I want to share my July favourites and basically things I've been loving for this month!

My first favourite is a book called 'An abundance of Katherines' by John Green. It is basically about a guy named Colin who is a genius or a child prodigy(as said in the book) who has a thing for Katherines/girls named Katherine. After he gets dumped by the 19th Katherine hes dated, he goes on a roadtrip with his friend(I haven't finished it so I dont know how to conclude). Hopefully I haven't given to much away!At first I found it quite hard to get into the book, but after reading on, I found that I really enjoyed it. As I said I still haven't finished the book but I definitely recommend this book to anyone really.
(I'LL UPDATE ONCE I'VE FINISHED)

The next favourite/s are the MUA highlighter which I got for £3 in Superdrug (for prom actually!)Tbh I got both products for prom. I really think this is an amazing product and I've used it everyday! I would say not to put on too much on as it will look too 'fake' if you know what I mean-but it is great for a nice glow to the face!

The second product is the Maybelline contour and highlight kit.Honestly, I wish I'd gotten it earlier-its so amazing! Before I got this I didn't really know how to contour but this kit made it so easy for me and it doesn't make you look orange either! I got mine in medium/dark so i wouldn't need to build it up as much. The highlight is also very nice but too subtle for me but I do use it from time to time.

Next is the Rimmel Kate moss boho nude lipstick! I haven't had this for long but i absolutely love it!It looks so natural and it so moisturizing- at only £6.49 I think its worth getting.

My fourth favourite is this loreal mascara.I got this mascara around Christmas time and used it once, then just put it away for a couple of months. For some reason I started using it again and I cant believe I hadn't used it all this time-its like the best mascara I've ever used.

As you can see theres two sides. The white side primes the lashes (I think) and obviously the second side is the mascara. You do have to wait for the white stuff to dry on your lashes for a couple of seconds and then apply the mascara. It honestly makes your lashes look endless. I believe this mascara is £7.99 in boots.

Now for the Garnier Micellar water you've heard everyone hype about this and the hype is real! I already knew this was great as I'd bought this before but never repurchased it  again -not sure why.but I've been using it this month and its been so easy to remove stubborn makeup like mascara etc.But yeah-definitely recommend!

OK so Aldi had a sale a couple of weeks ago and I saw this body lotion.(Btw I dont think they sell this anymore but if they bring it back for spring you need to get it) I decided to get because..I dont actually know- it was just there. Its so good! Its not sticky at all and extremely refreshing!I'll be taking this on holiday this year!

Finally my last favourite is actually a film! I watched Now you see me 2 recently and my god-it is honestly one of the best films I've seen in my life, and I'm not exaggerating. If you haven't seen Now you see me (the first one) then you really should!

Heres the film trailers for now you see me 1 and 2(in order)

Well thats all for now people! I hope you enjoyed reading about my favourites and be prepared for more blogposts!
