L'Oreal Colour Riche Eye-shadow Palette Review(UK Version)

Hi Everyone! Today im going to be reviewing the L'Oreal Colour Riche Eye-shadow Palette ,the beige version! I know this came out back in 2015(not to long ago :) but I got this palette for Christmas and I have used it ever since! I think that eye-shadow palettes you can buy from the drug store now are so amazing and there are so many to choose from!

I know that some people have been saying that £14.99 for a drug store eye-shadow palette is quite pricey since its drug store.I sort of agree with this statement too. However I had an offer with it which came with the telescopic mascara and the super liner! I also just wanted to say that I think that there are different versions of the palette in Europe and America and I believe that the American palette is bigger(correct me if im wrong in the comments below).I thought it would be a good idea to do a review on the European version since most reviews are based on the American version.

Lets start of with the packaging:
I think that the packaging is really good! Its quite slim and its a great palette to take travelling.Adding to that, the colour of it is quite simple, just black with gold lettering on the top of the palette. The back of the palette shows how the inside of the palette looks.Inside the palette it has a reasonably sized mirror which ,like I said,is really good for travelling!

I also forgot to mention that this palette comes with a small eye-shadow/blending brush and a sponge tip on the other side.Personally I think this brush is pretty decent since most brushes that come with a product arent really that useful. However I occasionally use this as I dont have an extensive collection of eye-shadow brushes! I have also washed this twice and it doesn't shed so thats a bonus :)

Finally the part you have probably been waiting for: The swatches!!

I think that the pigmentation of these eye-shadows are really great and they are so easy to blend in.This eye-shadow palette comes with 5 shimmery shades and 5 matte shades. If you're a fan of matte shades this is definitely the palette for you,as the matte shades are quite light but once you build up your eye-shadow it gives a really nice effect!

The shimmery shades in the palette also work in the same way,the more you add the better the effect.Overall the pigmentation is sort of light/medium but like I said ,the more you build it up the richer the colour!

As you can see I've used it quite alot!!

The swatches above are in order so the first hand swatch is the first 4 eye shadows. The second hand swatch is the next 4 and the last is the 2 last shades which are matte.

If you wanted these eye shadows to last longer I think it would be a good idea to use a primer, like the Urban Decay primer potion. I feel like the darker colours which tend to be the matte colours last longer than the shimmery ones, but other than that this palette is amazing! Its definitely worth £14.99.If you want to get it a bit cheaper, Asos have it on sale right now for £10.49.

Thats it for today's blogpost! Let me know if you would like any more reviews on makeup products, books, films etc

Until next time.......

Using coconut oil as make-up remover?!

Hi everyone! Today I'm going to sharing a beauty hack I just found out about 2 weeks ago! I don't know whether this was already invented by someone but  I ran out of my normal make-up wipes and I didn't want to just 'wash' it off my face. I'm not sure what was going through my head but when I saw a jar of coconut oil in the bathroom I thought, 'maybe this could get rid of my makeup'. At the time I only had mascara and eye shadow on (and concealer).I used a cotton round pad and patted some coconut oil onto the cotton pad.I then swiped it across my eyes and it immediately wiped away the product from my eyes!

I then tried this technique one day with a full face of makeup -concealer, foundation, subtle bronzer, highlight etc. It worked just as well and not alot was needed to remove a whole face of makeup.

Here is a picture of the coconut oil that I have:

This is what I use to put the coconut oil on !

Since I've found out this technique, I haven't bought makeup wipes since! I personally think that it removes makeup better than makeup wipes. It would also last longer if you buy a big jar like the one above and use it instead of buying makeup wipes that only come with about 25 wipes in a packet. I bought this tub of coconut oil on Amazon! To add to it,it also felt very moisturising and I know its quite weird using oil as a makeup remover, especially if you have oily skin like me, but it doesn't feel bad at all!

I hope you found this helpful! If you did please let me know in the comments or let me know on twitter(above blog archive) by re-tweeting or liking the tweet!

Until next time........

My new year resolutions/2016 .....

Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a great start to 2016! Today I'm just going to be discussing my new years resolutions!

I feel like in 2015, I was kind of waiting for something -not sure what but just something.I know now that you shouldn't do that.Just no.If you want a specific thing to happen just work for it.Instead of waiting for people to read my blog for example,I would put my self out there on social media such as twitter(which I'm more active on) and share my blog.So much more people have viewed my blog which makes me happy as I know that my content is what some people with the same interests would like to read!

Anyway without further ado lets get on my with my list of resolutions....

1. Learn guitar- So this is more of a goal for this year(I guess its kind of a resolution too ,right?).I got a guitar for Christmas when I was 11(I think). I never really tried to learn any chords and later on I just didn't have time.

But in about November 2015,I watched a documentary of Taylor Swift(you might have guessed that shes my favorite singer)and her journey to releasing albums etc(I know dont judge me- i dont know how i got onto the video but hey). And I thought well if she is a self taught guitar player I think I can do that too! However I wouldn't say I'm the best singer so I think I will stick to playing the guitar.Currently I'm learning to play treacherous by Taylor Swift. Here is the video I am using to learn and I think its a great song to learn as a beginner!

2.Exams & revision- If you live in the UK,most of you will know that once you are in year 11 you will have to do a series of exams which could determine your place in sixth form or a college. This is the year in which I will have to do my GCSE's which I'm quite terrified about, but I am quite serious about education so with hard work and determination I will be able to go to sixth form and study my chosen subjects easily if I revise effectively. Let me know in the comments if you would like a blog post on tips with revision, school etc

3.Develop my blog more- This is something I've been trying to do since September when I first started my blog.I have admit I absoulutley loved doing this as its my hobby. I've always read other blogs and thought-what if I was doing that too? I'm glad I did as I have the chance to share my views on products with others online-for the world to see! Anyway what I mean by develop is for more people to read my blog-people who share the same interests as me.I feel like I've done quite well considering the amount of posts I have compared to the amount of views I have gathered :)

4.Save my money- I sometimes have the habit of spending money on things I do not need(hopefully you can relate) I feel like this year I want to have more money to be able to buy the things I do need such as being able to buy better presents for family and friends.I personally think I can definitely do this !

That's it for today's blog post! I hope you enjoyed reading my new years resolutions! Hopefully some of my resolutions could be an inspiration for you if you haven't already thought of any for this year.If you have thought of any new year resolutions that you are determined to achieve this year, please let me know what they are in the comment section below!

Until next time...........

Favourites of 2015/skincare products!

Hi everyone! You may have noticed I have also written about my beauty and books/films favourites of 2015.I uploaded them on new years eve so this post will be my first post of 2016! As you can tell by the title all I'm going to talk about is the skin care products I have tried and that I liked and products which I used in 2015 all of the time.

First up is the clean and clear daily facial wash.

This facial wash was a great purchase as I have quite oily skin and because its oil free it has really balanced out my oily skin quite well.At £3.00, its a great product to purchase, especially if you are on a budget like me! Personally, I prefer this daily facial wash than the simple facial wash (below). They are around the same price-depends where you buy it, but I think that both products are great!

Second on my favourites list, its the Simple Spotless Skin Triple Action Face Wash.
Image 1 ofĀ Simple Spotless Skin Triple Action Face Wash 150ml

At first I wasn't so sure about this .I didn't use it everyday as I felt it was slightly harsh on the skin but  I gradually got used to it and it did keep my skin very clear and it always felt good after washing my face. This product also lasted a very long time -5 months I think, so a little bit went a very long way!

The third product on my list is the Garnier Moisture Match 24H Hydration Mattifying Fresh MoisturiserCream.

Garnier Moisture Match 24H Hydration Mattifying Fresh MoisturiserCream

Before this ,the only moisturiser I ever used was the Simple moisturiser.I slowly stopped using it as I felt that it made my skin feel and look more oily, so when I saw that this face cream was hydrating and matte,I thought I should give it a go! This face cream is amazing! It smelled so lovely and fresh and made your skin feel so soft and its a great purchase! The only thing I would say is that it is quite small so it wont last as long.

My last skincare favourite is the Cien moisturiser

I included this in my November favourites! click here to read about it

That's it for today's blogpost!I hope you enjoyed reading this post! Let me know any skincare products you loved last year in the comment section below!
