My Top 3 autumn/fall nail polishes!

Hi everyone! So today I'm going to show you some nail polish colours which are great to use for this autumn! Once again, all three are Barry M as Barry M is honestly one of the best drug store make-up brand out there. All three nil polishes all have the same formula apart from the gelly shine nail polish which I will explain later on.With out further ado, lets get onto the first one!

(sorry if the images are the wrong way :/ )

1.The first nail polish is actually from the Barry M autumn collection and it is called,'Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Mustard'. At first I wasn't very sure with colour as I personally find it quite unusual and also because I don't really own many mustard/yellow based colours. However I was wrong as I actually enjoy wearing this colour! This colour goes pretty well with dark browns or everything autumn coloured haha.  Although some people may not like this colour I personally think its a great colour for the autumn but no one can stop you wearing it in the summer too! Here is a swatch of the 'Barry M Gelly Hi Shine Mustard'!

The application is the same as the other original Barry M  brushes and I personally think that the formula of the gelly hi shine is actually thicker so a second coat isn't needed! Also its quite long-lasting!

2.The next Barry M nail polish is from the original collection and it is called 'Barry M Nail Paint Bright Red 262. Some people might think that this shade of red isn't really an autumn shade, but I think that its classic nail colour which can be worn any time in the year. Also it could be worn around Christmas time!.The only thing I would say with the original Barry M nail polish is that sometimes you need a 2nd layer but in some cases you don't like with this one . Heres a swatch and the shade!

3.My last top autumn/fall nail polish is the Barry M Nail Paint Cosmo Berry 356. This is also from the original collection. This shade is my favourite as Ive had it longer than the other 2 nail polishes.I personally think that this colour is a true berry colour to wear during fall/autumn.The original Barry M nail polishes(so number 2 and 3) are cheaper than the gelly hi shine, at only £2.99!I honestly think this is a shade worth getting this autumn! Here's a swatch and the shade number!

Overall I think that all these shades are amazing colours worth getting this autumn! If you enjoyed this blog post ,please feel free to check out my other blogposts and follow to be updated!:

The perfect autumn lip- Barry M Gelly Hi Shine!

Hi everyone! So today I'm going to do a review/swatch of the Barry M gelly hi shine! The colour which I picked up is Vega cherry red out of 6 or 7 shades ,so you've got a lot of shades to choose from .I think this colour is definitely the perfect autumn/fall lip colour as the berry tones are in this autumn.I personally think this lip crayon is gorgeous and quite cheap too ,at £4.99! You can buy it here!

First I will start with the application-The application of this is so quick and easy! I think that the crayon type of style really helps give a nice clean look. One thing I would say is that I'm not sure whether you can sharpen this lip-crayon as its made entirely from plastic:( But you can always use a lip brush if you are about to run out.

Next up is the formula! The formula of the Barry M Gelly Hi Shine is amazing as it really moisturising and it lasts for a long time. Its also quite pigmented so you don't really need a lip liner! Also the colour is very beautiful as it can look red/darkish purple which I think is a nice effect!I also think this colour will complement any skin tone. Heres a swatch!

Overall I think this product is amazing, especially as its from the drug store! I will definitely be using this for this autumn/winter!

My top 4 purple nail polishes!

Hi everyone! Today I am going to share my top 4 favourite nail polishes which are,
  1. Barry M - 'chameleon pink',
  2. Mac - 'girl trouble'
  3. Barry M - 'berry'
  4. Barbara Daly - '201'

First of all the Barry M chameleon pink is such an amazing colour! The reason I included it in my top 'purple' nail polishes is because once you add a clear top coat it changes into a vibrant purple which is great for using in the winter and summer. It is also very long lasting and it doesn't chip! The application of the Barry M chameleon pink is quite difficult as the brush is kind of thin/medium but only you apply it, it looks great!

Heres some images of the Barry M chameleon pink!

Next up is Mac -girl trouble. This is the only high end one out of the four but it costs £10.00 (which you can check out here) which I think is quite reasonable. The first thing I love about this nail polish is the packaging! I know its not the most important thing, but it is also quite big so it also lasts longer. The application of this nail polish it pretty much the same as the Barry M nail polishes. The actual formula of the mac polish is actually really nice but is quite sheer and so you need to apply at least  coats of this nail polish. Heres an of mac-girl in trouble!

Next up is the Barry M -Berry.This nail polish is my all time favourite and beats out any high end nail polish! The colour is absolutely gorgeous and everyone needs this in their nail polish collection! This colour is also great for the summer as its quite a oft lilac which looks great with anything! The one thing I would say is that you need to apply 2 coats of this as it looks a bit uneven when you apply it but that just my opinion.

Heres some images of Barry M -berry!

Last but not least its its the Barbara Daly 201 nail polish ! This is actually quite hard to get abroad but in the UK you can get this in a local supermarket (Tesco).I think that Barbara Daly is  really underrated brand that has some amazing products! Anyway back onto the nail polish, this is actually a sheer nail polish which needs 2 coats to be applied. However the colour is really beautiful and is great to wear during the winter/autumn where dark colours are really on trend.I also like the application on this as the brush is quite thick/medium so its easy and quick to apply to your nails. The price is really quite cheap  (around 3-4 pounds) so its good for a drug store budget!

Heres some images!

Overall, all the nail polishes I have talked about are really amazing to use all year round!I hope you enjoyed this post ,if you did please follow my social media links:

My top 2 drugstore concealers!

Hi everyone! This posts about my  favourite drug store concealers ever, which are: Rimmel wake me up concealer and the Maybelline fit me concealer! These 2 concealers have been on the market for quite a while now,but they have still remained my 2 favourite!
(All images by me!)

To start off is the Rimmel Wakeup Me Up Concealer.Firstly the packaging of the concealer is quite simple and comes in a lipgloss type of tube which I like because its quite compact so you can take it with you on the go. Here's some images!

As you can see I picked up the shade 'Soft Beige' .There are actually 4 shades available which you can look up on this website:http://www.boots.com/en/Rimmel-Wake-Me-Up-Concealer_1253837/
To be honest, I don't think there's a wide range of shades available, especially if you have a very fair/light skin tone. However ,I think that soft beige suits me quite well as I have a light/medium sort of skin tone. I normally use this concealer for my under eye circles  but I don't use it for any spots or blemishes because it seems to look a little orange, but for under eye circles I think its a great little product to use ! Here is a swatch of 'soft beige':

Next up is the application:the application of the Rimmel wake me up concealer is makes it really easy to apply to your skin .What I would say is to dab small dots under your eyes to give it an even look.I would add some setting powder such as the Rimmel stay matte powder(let me know what your favourite powder is in the comment section!)

The formula of the concealer is quite creamy and I think it lasts for a long time but it does tend to slide without powder.

Overall,I think that this concealer is worth buying ,especially if your on a budget as its only £5.49 in most places like boots or Superdrug!

My next concealer is the Maybelline fit me concealer. This concealer is actually more of a recent purchase!

The packaging of the the Maybelline fit me concealer is practically the same of the Rimmel wake up but it has more of a boxy look to the concealer. Here's an image of the Maybelline fit me:

The shade I decided to opt for was the Shade 20.Compared to the Rimmel wake me up ,Maybelline offer a wider range of shades(6).I think that if you have a lighter skin tone I would definitely buy a fair shade of the Maybelline fit me range ! Heres a swatch of the shade I bought:

As you can see above, the shade 20 does look slightly more yellow toned than the wake me up concealer.I personally think that this concealer can be used a highlighter too if you buy a lighter shade but this shade can be used a highlighter too.You can check out the different shades here:http://www.boots.com/en/Maybelline-Fit-Me-Concealer_1279343/

The applicator in the Rimmel fit me is quite similar to the Rimmel wake me up and it is easy to apply. The way I apply the Maybelline fit me concealer is in a triangle type of shape on my under eye circles and just dot on any blemishes or spots that I might have. Heres an image of the applicator:

Finally, the formula of the Maybelline fit me concealer is so creamy and feels very light on the skin which I like.It is also comparable to the Nars concealer,so buy the Maybelline fit me to save you some money!

Overall I think that both concealer are both amazing and are worth buying, especially with the price that they are at(£5.49 and £5.99!).If you enjoyed this blog post please follow on Google plus or Bloglovin!(All above or check my other Blogposts for links!)

Alterra Liquid Eyeliner Review!

Hi everyone! As i might have mentioned in my top 3 hair products blog post(http://ellewithspecs.blogspot.co.uk/2015/09/my-top-3-hair-products.html),I bought some bits of beauty products that I cant get in the UK and decided to pick up a liquid eyeliner in 'Black 01' in Germany, from a brand called Alterra .I feel that this brand is quite underrated as their products a quite cheap and they are very good quality!

Here are some images!

The packaging of the liquid eyeliner is quite simple.I think that there isn't much 'liquid' in the actual bottle but because its cheap to buy ,at only around 2.45 euros (which is £1.78), I think its your money well spent! Moving onto the applicator,I think its probably one of the best I have seen as the actual brush tip is extremely thin which gives you a sharp cat eye compared to eyeliner pens.

Here are some images!

As you can see above the applicator is so thin and so easy to work with. Also the product stays on the applicator for a long time so you can use it within one stoke and the product is still on the eyeliner brush !

The actual colour of the eyeliner claims to be black which i totally agree with because you when you've got eye-liners that claim to be black but come out kind of  dark-ish grey? Well don't worry about applying two coats of eyeliner, because this eyeliner is so pigmented!(not really sure you can say that about eye-liners!).But honestly,in one stoke you have a sharp, jet black eyeliner on your eyelids which I'm sure everyone wants in an eyeliner! Here is a swatch of this eyeliner:

The one question for this eyeliner is :Is it long lasting? Yes! this eyeliner is very long-lasting and doesn't smudge during the day .One thing I would say is that when applying it, you have let it dry as it can smudge .

Overall this eyeliner is amazing and should really be out there for everyone to see. Also if youre on a drug store budget why not give it a try!

Stila stay all day® vinyl lip gloss !

Hi everyone! today I'm going to be talking about the Stila stay all day vinyl lip gloss.

This lip gloss is actually the first high end lip gloss I bought.Although it been out for a long time, I feel that its a product worth talking about. At first I thought these lip glosses weren't going to be long lasting-I mean they're lip glosses! However I was proven wrong as I find that the formula is very moisturising. This was a surprise to me as I thought that they would have a drying formula.

Here are some images:

As you can see above I decided to buy 'nude vinyl'.This colour is absolutely gorgeous as its a really pretty pinky nude shade which complements any look! As I mentioned above they're very moisturising. However what I would say is that the formula in the tube can become quite thick over time is stored in a damp or a warm place. There is a slight stickiness to it but it doest affect the staying power or anything else. The actual applicator also makes it easy to apply to your lips as its curved , giving you a nice even layer on your lips!

These lip glosses are very highly pigmented which means applying one coat of the lip gloss is enough! This is good as you don't need a lip liner or anything else to make the lip gloss stand out as its so pigmented. Here is a swatch I did with 'nude vinyl 06' and an image of the applicator:

Overall I really love this lip gloss, even though the lip gloss is slightly pricey (£18.00), I still feel that I spent my money very well and I am looking forward to getting the other shades which can be bought here:http://stila.co.uk/products/stay-all-day-vinyl-lip-gloss

3 Barry M neutral nail polishes!

Hi everyone! This post is about my 3 neutral/nude slightly pinky nail polish shades which I think everyone should have in their nail polish collection! All of the nail polishes are from Barry M as the majority of my extensive nail polish collection contains Barry M products. So lets get on with the first one!:

Ok, so the first nail polish is from the 'silk' collection from Barry M and is called,' truffle 401'.This colour is my favourite from the 3 nail polishes as its very subtle and it matches any outfit you have lying around. Also because its from the 'silk' collection in Barry M, it dries leaving a nice texture to your nails.I would like to point out that you do need to apply at least two coats of it your nail as its quite a sheer colour. You can buy this nail polish here: http://www.boots.com/en/Barry-M-Silk-Collection-Nail-Paint_1437069/

Here are some images:

My second favourite 'neutral' nail polish from Barry M is from the matte collection. It is called 'vanilla 350'.This nail polish is VERY matte so this might put some people off . But you can always add a clear topcoat to give your nails a glossy shine. I normally use this nail polish for as a first coat, then     apply a sheer glitter nail polish on top.You also only need one coat for this nail polish which is a bonus! You can buy it here!:http://www.boots.com/en/Barry-M-Matte-Nail-Paint_1388205/

Here are some images:

My third favourite is actually a glitter nail polish called 'pink silver glitter 348'.I really like using this with the 'vanilla 350' as it gives a really nice effect to my nails.Again its a colour that will match any item of clothing and any accessories. You also need just 1 coat of this nail polish and it is very long-lasting as it doesn't chip. Here is a link if you would like to buy it:http://www.nailpolishdirect.co.uk/nails-c92/nail-polish-c53/new-nail-polish-paint-pink-silver-glitter-10ml-337-p2447

Nars gift set (Sephora)!

Hi everyone ! I recently got the Nars gift set which comes with 2 lipsticks/crayons which my wonderful cousin sent (we don't have Sephora in the UK :(( ).I thought it would be a good idea to review and just show some swatches. Here are some picture below:

As you can see the red Nars lip crayon is very pigmented and I think its a great red which will complement anyone's skin tone. The red lip crayon/lipstick is called 'Cruela'.The lip crayon/lipstick I have actually used from the two from the gift set is 'Rikugien'.This is a very nice nude colour which will be amazing to use with a dramatic smokey eye if you want your lip to have a subtle nude colour to them. Also, I found with 'Rikugien' it is very long lasting and it doesn't stain on anything ,for example when drinking from a cup. The formula I find, is quite moisturising and they do not smudge giving you a nice clean look, so you don't really need lip liner(bonus!). Lastly you don't need to touch up during the day and you also don't need a lot of product because as I said its quite pigmented.

Overall , I think that they are both amazing lip crayons which everyone should have in their make-up collection!

My Top 3 Hair Products!

These three hair products are hair products I use very often and I thought I would be good if I share my views on each product and where you can buy them!!

The first product I'll be talking about is the 'Garnier fructis wunder ƶl'. I'm not sure if this hair oil is actually available in the UK or the US but I actually picked this up from my recent trip to Germany. It was a fairly cheap product which I got for around 4 euros which is a great price if you're on a budget(but somehow its more expensive online, not sure why). I also found a website which you could buy it from if you're interested linked here: http://www.bipa.at/garnier/garnier-fructis-wunder-oel/B3-728297.html . The packaging of the product is fairly simple which I like and great for travelling.

Moving on to the actual hair oil it smells like heaven! Applying the product to the hair is quick and easy(apply 1 pump of oil for short hair and about 2-3 for longer hair) and leaves your hair looking shiny and smelling wonderfully beautiful! For the staying power of the wonderful shine, I wouldn't say its extensive and does need reapplying to the hair after around 2-3 hours but other than that I find this product amazing!

HERE ARE SOME IMAGES:

The second hair product I love using is the 'Aussie miracle hair insurance light weight conditioning spray'. Bit of a mouth full! This product claims to condition, protect and de- tangle your hair. I really do think it does what it say on the bottle and the smell of the spray is amazing. Its a very strong smell to once you spray it but it does wear off later on in the day. I normally use this product when i have wet/damp hair as it helps de -tangle my hair.It was also nothing too expensive and at around £4.49 its good for some of us that are on a budget. If you like the sound of this here's a link: http://www.feelunique.com/p/Aussie-Miracle-Hair-Insurance-Leave-in-Conditioner-250ml.Here are some pictures of the products below!

Finally this is my last hair product which I'm sure a lot of people have reviewed but it the batiste dry shampoo! This dry shampoo is firstly a 'hair saver' as it really does give you a refreshed look if you need a bit of volume for your hair or if your hair gets oily between washes. The dry shampoo I always pick off the shelves is the clean and classic original style batiste (as shown below). Also the price ranges from about £2.99 to about £4.99 depending on the smell or the edition of the dry shampoo. Other than that there's nothing really much to say for this product as it does what it says on the bottle! Here's a link if you would like to buy this product!:http://www.blowltd.com/batiste-dry-shampoo-original-200ml?gclid=CjwKEAjwgqWvBRC2kajZjqeOn0oSJADqBi-lm598ndhaOphoNf916A1prwgm4OMlz-3wZCHamvcXnhoChlzw_wcB
